Abingdon RDA  Horse riding group for people with any disability.

The Camden Society  Services and campaigns to support the human rights of people with learning disabilities. Runs person-centred services across Oxfordshire and London, supporting people to develop their lives in whichever way they choose.

Chiltern Centre  Highly personalised services that provide a safe, homely and nurturing environment for children and young adults with disabilities in the Thames Valley.

Dimensions Buddies Oxfordshire  Buddying scheme that provides fun and exciting holidays, activities and support for children with a learning disability or autism.

Down’s Syndrome Oxford  Organised and funded by parents & supporters to provide information, help and activities for children with Down’s Syndrome and their families in the Oxfordshire area.

Face 2 Face  Free befriending service in Oxford, offering one-to-one emotional support for parents of children with disabilities or additional needs, through national charity Scope.

Hft South Oxfordshire  Offers a range of services, from supported living to jobs and volunteering, registered care to day opportunities and respite. Can also provide specialist services for those with specific syndromes or complex support needs.

Horsewyse  Based near Long Crendon; provides horse riding lessons, hacks and polocrosse for all abilities of rider. Specialises in ground-based and riding activities for children, young people & adults with learning, behavioural and/or physical difficulties.

Independent Support provides FREE independent information, advice, and support to young people and their parents/carers associated with the change from Statements of Special Educational Needs to the new integrated Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP).

MacIntyre Lifelong Learning  Oxford-based lifelong learning service from a national charity supporting children, young people and adults who have a learning disability or autism.

Mates ‘n’ Dates  Dating and friendship agency for adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.

My Life My Choice  Oxford-based self-advocacy charity, run by and for people with learning disabilities.

My World Autism Support  Activity programmes run five days a week, providing employment support, academic holiday activity programmes, support with accessing education and training, and more.

OASIS (Oxford Autistic Society)  Aims to create a supportive community through family events, informal coffee and chat groups, as well as evening speaker meetings and county-wide events.

Oxford Adaptive Rowing  Aims to remove barriers to participation in rowing for anyone who has a physical, sensory or learning impairment.

Oxford Mencap  Supports people with a learning disability, and their families, who live in the Oxford area. Services include a social club on Wednesday evenings, family events and various summer holiday options.

Oxfordshire Family Support Network  Organisation run by and for family carers of people with learning disabilities, providing independent information, advice and support.

OXSRAD  Based in central Oxford; aims to offer sports, recreational and leisure activities that are accessible to all.

Pathway Workshop  Registered charity in Oxford, providing productive employment and training for disadvantaged adults aged between 16 and 80, with physical disabilities and/or learning impairment.

Sailability  A group of friends who sail together on Farmoor Reservoir from 6pm every Tuesday evening, between the middle of April and the middle of October.

Style Acre  Provides day opportunities, supported living, work development and community involvement for adults with learning disabilities, across Oxfordshire.

Thomley Centre  Recreational facility in Worminghall, for children and adults with disabilities, as well as families, friends, schools and groups.

Adventure Plus is a mobile Adventure organisation with a passion for seeing all young people grow and thrive through positive and challenging adventure experiences regardless of ability.

Anjali Dance Company runs groups throughout the county for young people with learning disabilities, and inclusive contemporary dance classes.

Barnardos offer mainly non-residential community services for disabled children and young people which enhance their lives, promote their independence and support their families.The charity offers a range of opportunities accross Oxfordshire.

Core Assets offers holiday activities and youth clubs for younger children, teenagers and those with complex needs in Didcot, Sonning Common and Wheatley

Dimensions work with families, carers, schools and colleges to make sure that children with autism receive tailored support enabling them to develop their ongoing skills, experience new opportunities and access the community.

ICE Centre provides Inclusive Care & Education to provide real choices for people with disabilities, giving opportunities to learn new skills towards independence.

Keen provides social and recreational activities for young people with special needs in the Oxford area.

The Lets Play Project specialises in the provision of play and leisure opportunities for disabled young people aged 5 – 18 years in Banbury

Oxfordshire Sports Partnership lists sporting clubs and opportunities for young people with a range of additional needs.

The Parasol Project offers specific support for children and young people who have a physical impairment, learning difficulty or other social need and who wish to take part in inclusive play or leisure activities.

Support for parents:

Carers Oxfordshire offers Support to disabled children and their families in the county.

The Family Information Service has produced a directory full of information, advice and activities for young people with a disability, SEN or additional needs.

OASIS are a friendly charity run by parent volunteers for those bringing up children and young adults on the Autistic Spectrum.

SHIFT is a parent led support group offering support to parents & carers of children with Special Needs in the Abingdon area.
