We believe young people with learning difficulties and autism deserve to live life to the full. We run an ambitious holiday activities programme and are looking for students to join our support team over Easter.

Save the date…

Easter holidays: 7-17 April 2020!

We have programmes in Oxford, Witney, and Abingdon. Activities run Tues-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm in each location.

Each week…

Tues: Explore Days           Weds: Hub Days

Thurs: Sports Days         Fri: Forest Days

How much time you give is up to you: one day, one week, or the full programme!

Our days are a chance for members to get out and about, try new things, and make friends. They also provide respite for families.

Helpers support our members while getting fully involved! You could be rollercoasting round Thorpe Park, building bonfires in the woods, or meeting giraffes at the zoo!

Crucially, you’ll support members to communicate, take part in new and challenging activities,  and build relationships. Above all, to have FUN!

Enthusiastic. Friendly. Non-judgemental. Someone who enjoys talking to new people and knows how to make others feel welcome.

A strong volunteer will learn quickly and be adaptive. You can follow the flow of a session and figure out who needs a chat, who needs a helping hand, and who’s getting on just fine.

Fill out our Application Form and Miriam will get in touch! We’ll then meet you in person, seek your references, and all being well get you on board.

If you prefer to speak on the phone, you can give her a call at 01865 236119.

Once you’re on board as a volunteer, you’ll get sent our Activities Programme. Then you can sign up for all the days you can make.

We’ll then get back to you with a confirmation email, and you’re good to go – we look forward to seeing you!

Found something that you like the sound of…? Fill out our Application Form or email our Volunteer Manager on miriam@yellowsubmarine.org.uk to discuss specifics!
