Background: I am primarily a Mum to 4 young adults, the youngest of whom has learning disabilities and is a very active user of Yellow Submarine. I graduated from Hallam University in Communication Studies – rather a long time ago and initially worked in media advertising placing ads on TV. Not long after that my husband and I with one child and 4 suitcases moved to the US for 2 years. 20 years later we returned to the UK with 3 more kids, a dog and a very large container! We moved around a lot but whilst living in Denver I became very involved with a wonderful organization called Adams Camp which provides intensive camps for children with special needs as well as volunteering as a parent rep at the children’s schools. We are now very happily settled in Oxfordshire and in between pursuing my passion for interior design and working for a small family led charity OxFSN I spend a lot of my time championing the cause to improve the lives of the learning disabled.
Favourite Yellow Submarine memory: I have lots of lovely memories of Yellow Submarine but one of my favourites will always be walking in to the cafe for the first time and being greeted by the incredibly happy staff. No where else have I ever been met with such positive enthusiasm. No wonder the cafe is always busy!
Morning or Night: Definitely a night owl – I am allergic to mornings!
