Becs joined Yellow Submarine in September 2016
Experience: I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2002, and worked for many years with young adults who were experiencing mental health problems. For the last 7 years I have lived abroad, where I have had the opportunity to work with many voluntary organisations, and was involved in setting up a worked based project for young adults with additional needs.
Roles within the charity: I deliver the Workplace Skills Training Programme, teaching theory and practical skills for the workplace to our trainees, PEAPs and apprentices.
Favourite Yellow Submarine memory: Seeing the guys work so hard in their lessons. The way the encourage each other and learn together is inspiring, and we have lots of fun as we think about their next steps.
Books or movies: I love going to see a film, but nothing beats curling up on the sofa, in front of a log fire, with a good book 🙂
