Our school holiday programme gives young people (11-18) the opportunity to branch out on their own, gain new friends, skills and interests. This, in turn, gives families and carers much needed respite and time to themselves; and offers siblings undivided attention from their parents.
We are seeking Sessional Staff to support with the delivery of a variety of activity days and evenings. If you enjoy arts & crafts; sports; bush-craft; day trips and adventures, then this could just what you are looking for!
Experience is helpful, but not essential – individuals must be fun, reliable and keen to make a difference in the lives of young people with learning disabilities.
For those with prior experience, there are opportunities to become an ‘Enabler’. Enabler’s work on a 1:1 basis with children with more complex needs. Their role is to promote inclusion, positive peer interaction and engagement, resulting in valuable experiences for all. Specific protocol training is provided.
Shifts are typically 9.30 – 4.30pm during the week in the school holidays.
Youth Clubs operate across Oxfordshire between 5.30 – 8.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings during term time.
Staff are able to choose hours to suit them, with no contractual obligation, which make it a great choice for students; teaching assistants; retirees and everybody in between!
Individuals are required to undergo relevant safety checks including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
