We have an opportunity for a new team member to join us as a community fundraising and marketing officer; the successful applicant will have existing experience within fundraising or the transferable skills to act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the charity. You will be the first point of contact for new and existing fundraisers, building strong relationships across a variety of networks, helping to organise and supporting volunteers in a wide range of fundraising efforts, such as sponsored challenges, social fundraising events, bucket collections, rallies, festivals and fairs. The successful applicant will also be responsible for creating marketing materials, managing the organisation’s social media platforms and developing the organisation’s public presence.
The role involves frequent evening and weekend working to support community fundraising activities and events, and working hours are flexible to reflect this.
This is a key area of income generation for the charity and we are looking for someone who can work diligently and creatively to meet targets; success will be determined by the volume of funds raised.
To act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the charity; building strong relationships across a variety of networks to support and develop the public presence of the charity and community fundraising income.
Candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check.
