Our Oxford cafe, office and workshop are all in the same building at 12 Park End Street, OX1 1HH…
We are situated on the same side of the road and a couple of doors down from Office Outlet, as you head into Oxford city centre.
Coming by car
If you choose to visit us by car, free parking (up to 2 hours) is available on Abbey Road which is about 5 minutes walk (just after the train station). In our experience there are always available spots here or on Cripley Road (which neighbours Abbey Rd).
Alternatively you can park at Worcester Street car park which is just a few doors passed our building, as you head into Oxford city centre. However be warned it’s £3.30 for 1 hour and £5.50 for 2 hours.
If you have a blue badge you can park directly outside (between 10 and 4pm) for up to 3 hours.
Coming by bus
We are less than 5 minutes walk from Gloucester Green bus station which is Oxford’s principal bus station & has buses to and from London very frequently.
Within Oxfordshire most buses coming to the CIty centre stop within a few 100 yards of our building. If you are coming from West Oxfordshire on the S1 then the best stop is to get off by the Said Business School. This is less than 1 minute walk from us.
Coming by train
We are less than 5 minutes walk from Oxford train station.
Last week Toria, one of our amazing team members, let us know what being an Activity Manager means to her.
"Activity Managers are the heart & soul of Yellow Submarine –it’s our job to make sure Yellow Sub’s activities are fun, exciting and engaging for our members, both in the planning and on the day itself! The best part of being an Activity Manager is building good relationships with our members; for example, one member did a happy dance when seeing me in person again after the lockdown! We can become important faces in our members’ lives, often providing emotional and practical support on top of social activities. One of my favourite memories as an Activity Manager would be on a residential with some of our young people, seeing one member conquer their fear of heights and go abseiling from the high tower! A successful week as an Activity Manager varies a lot throughout the year (no day is the same at Yellow Sub!), but in the course of one week you could expect to plan & run an evening club, help out at our day-time projects, meet & sign up new members, liaise with venues about upcoming holiday activities, provide a listening ear to members & families and spend some time planning future activities, residentials or projects."
