M did not look forward to school holidays as she would be bored. But since joining Yellow Submarine she looks forward to each trip and has had a great summer.
Join us for a Friday in the forest, at a variety of outdoor learning sites, including Youlbury and the beautiful Lea Wood.
Learn fire lighting skills, shelter building, how to whittle wood, prepare food over the campfire and enjoy wood fired pizzas, sizzling sausages and moreish s’mores!
We focus on freedom, independent exploration and the simple childhood joys of hiking in the woods, jumping over streams and getting muddy!
We recommend weather appropriate clothes (which you don’t mind getting mucky!) and sturdy boots or wellies…these days go ahead rain or shine!
These days typically run from 10.00am to 4.00pm, but this is dependent on the activity and travel times.
We provide transport to and from the activity venues by minibus, departing from central locations in Oxford, Witney and Abingdon.
All activity days cost £22.50 but financial support may be available where needed.
Have a look at the photo diary below to see what’s involved.
