Activities for young people

Yellow Submarine runs a variety of projects across Oxfordshire for young people (11-18 years old) with additional needs.

Our activities are fun, age-appropriate and often ambitious. They are typically community-based, although we also travel to exciting destinations further afield!

As well as activity days during the school holidays, we also offer residential holidays, youth clubs, and a breakfast club.

Our ambition is to coach the young people we support to be able to do more, grow in confidence and need the minimum possible staff support. We operate closer to a “mainstream” holiday club than a “day service”, challenging the young people to do as much as possible themselves. Our staff ratios are typically 1 to 3. If your child requires a higher level of support please get in touch, as we may be able to provide an enabler.

We have a strong track record of helping teenagers transition into adulthood able to access mainstream services, socialise independently and join employment programmes.

It is our policy to meet with all young people before we register them, this is to ensure that we will be able to support them safely and effectively.

If your child is not yet registered with Yellow Submarine please get in touch.

Please note, we accept referrals from families, professionals, other organisations and young people themselves.
