Yellow Submarine wins an award!!
We learnt we'd been short listed for the Oxfordshire Charity & Volunteer awards, for the category 'Best New Voluntary or Community Group" towards the end of September.
The illustrious awards ceremony took place at the Town Hall on Monday the 10th October and rather gingerly (given the huge number of dignitaries and other great organisations there) we waited with great anticipation to hear the results. There was a message of support for Yellow Submarine and the other charities and the volunteers from the Prime Minister.
Discovering we'd won the award was a fantastic surprise. It's a testament to the hard work of our volunteers and the support of our various partners, without which this organisation couldn't run. Thank you.
Thanks also to the award hosts OCVA, Blake Lapthorne and our category sponsors Monument Trust/Jennings.
We hope this award will enable us to continue our good work by enabling us to attract more corportate partners. If you are able to help in this regard please contact Toby Staveley.
