Volunteer vacancies
Yellow Submarine is a small charity that wants to help a large number of people. In fact we'd like to help as many children and adults with learning disabilities and their families as we possibly can.
To achieve these goals there's various volunteer roles that we're looking to fill which would enable us to help more people. We recognise that you as a potential volunteer have your own needs, individual skill sets, time constraints and aspirations about volunteering. Please review our list of volunteer vacancies and see if any meet your criteria.
We have three broad categories of roles – 'holiday volunteers', 'day activity volunteers' and 'organisation volunteers' each which has very different requirements. If you cannot see anything that is appropriate, but think you might be able to help us in another area, do please let us know.
All volunteer roles will have transport and other relevant expenses paid for. Where appropriate (and possible) we will also provide training. We are happy to provide references based on your volunteering role should you require this for job applications etc. In the majority (but not all) volunteer roles it will be necessary to apply for a CRB check on your behalf.
We are a small but growing group that want to make a direct difference to people's lives through our actions. If you choose to volunteer with us you will be a valued part of team and we hope you will get back us much as you give.
